A Little Bit About Toys Are We

They send me songs from the underworld and stuff like that.

About Toys

Sam and Cody awoke inside a sunken car buried in the depths of Ullswater. They left their bodies and headed toward Gowbarrow Fell, seeking the gate to the underworld. Along the way, they met a strange looking yellow javelina with a long snout and beady little eyes. The javelina told them that because they had died, they were transported to the realm between the living and the dead. He further explained that everyone’s path is a unique and arduous journey designed to test their merit. Those who continuously fail to prove their worth remain eternally trapped and never make it to the gate.
The yellow javelina was worried that he couldn’t comfort his deceased loved ones, who were most likely fearfully lamenting his eternal demise. He begged Sam and Cody to provide his family with songs of comfort and with tidings of his impendent coming. Sam and Cody assured the javelina that they would do his bidding and headed their path.
They came across a beautiful array of luscious green trees that radiated the essence of Christmas trees, blueberries, spices, and heaven. Sam and Cody looked at each other, the joy welling up in their eyes. And, as if they were somehow possessed by the same thought, they said in perfect unison, “Pack a bowl, dude!”
It may have been centuries before they reached the gate, but, to Sam and Cody, time had become a variable adjective.
When the Gate Keeper found them passed out at the foot of the gate, she smirked devilishly and aroused them. “Awake, young wanderers, you have arrived.” Sam and Cody slowly opened their eyes, staring in awe at the great white gates before them.
“Welcome to the secret gate of the underworld. It only appears unto those who have proven their valor and purpose. Sam and Cody, arise! Arise and enter!”
The Gate Keeper led them to their quarters and told them that if they wished for anything, all they had to do was think it, and it would appear. By this time, Sam and Cody had completely forgotten their solemn promise to the yellow javelina, and rather than wishing peace for his family, they played bored games and formed Toys Are We, a garage band that redefines the limits of the mortal realm.
